For four days this November, more than 120 professional surfers from around the world arrive at Cerritos Beach, in the Baja Pacific near El Pescadero, for the third edition of a World Surf League Qualifying Series 2,000 event, with a dedicated Mexican women’s division and ranking points on the line.
The festival is free and open to the public, with live music, beach cinema, a local market and sustainability activities, which means the shoreline becomes a small town for a few days: surfers in the lineup, families on blankets, music drifting over the dunes.
